Outreach

Jesus said, "For I was hungry and you gave me food,  I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me...Truly I say to you, as you did it to the least of one of these my brothers, you did it to me.


There are a lot of hurting people in this world.  A lot of them closer to home than we sometimes realize.  A lot of folks who need comfort and companionship, food and a roof over their heads, encouragement and hope.  

And we all need to be set free in Christ.


Holy Redeemer is just getting started in outreach.  It's exciting.  It's exciting because our outreach will flow from God's grace as He grows His Church.  Stay tuned because God is beginning to stretch His hands out through His new Church. 

tithe for missions

Bishop Dobbs often speaks of missions or outreach as bee's buzzing.  What's the buzz in your church, he asks?  Are people excited about supporting missions, helping others, spreading the Gospel.  If so, he says, one can hear the buzz like bees in a hive.  Well, there's a buzz at Holy Redeemer.


The first 10% of our Sunday collection every month is given to those in need.  It's the very first check we write.  The first fruits of our Lord's generosity flowing through His people to support His people in need.  The folks at Holy Redeemer know this to be not only our Lord's command, but an act of His love also.
